Walk through the workshops of Parashmani and witness the painstaking artistry behind every filigree, every hallmark — a tradition passed down through decades.
In a narrow lane in North Kolkata, the sound of tiny hammers has been ringing since 1950. This is where Parashmani was born — not in a showroom, but in a workshop — and this is where the soul of every piece we make still lives.
The Artisans
Our karigar families have worked with us across generations. The grandfather who set polki stones now watches his granddaughter do the same. This continuity is not accidental — it is something we have protected deliberately, against the pressures of fast fashion and mass production.
The Process
From the initial wax model to the final hallmarking, a single fine neckpiece may pass through twelve pairs of hands before it is ready. Each pair brings a lifetime of knowledge.
You cannot rush a piece that is meant to last a hundred years.
When you wear a Parashmani piece, you carry with you the hours, the decisions, and the care of these artisans. We think that is worth knowing.
